Disney’s Animal Kingdom Pangani Trail

The silverback on the Pangani Trail was totally posing for us this time.  I could watch him and the others for hours!

Jungle Fever was cut from Animal Kingdom.  There aren’t layers in it, so I had to cut it 3 times to get the look.  I cut the bamboo is from Life Is a Beach.  All cardstock and DSP is from SU.  My journaling is done on the letter “O” from Life Is a Beach.  

More Kilimanjaro Safari

Another layout from the safari.  The pics are from this past January (2011).  We cannot get enough of the Disney Parks.  Great family time. 
Paper is all Stampin Up.  I tore cardstock to create the path. I found the Mickey head ribbon with leopard ears on eBay!  Isn’t is awesome???  I got several different Disney ribbons that I’ve never seen before, all from the same seller.  If you’re interested, let me know and I’ll try to find the info on eBay.
Cartridges used:  Create a Critter for the pond and grasses, Animal Kingdom for the word JUNGLE, Hannah Montana for the title, Summer Vacation for the “jeep”.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Kilimanjaro Safari

Our family LOVES the safari.  It’s a different experience every time.  You never know which aninals you're gong to see or how close to you they’re going to wander.  Great pictures every time - - our kids always fight over the camera.  I’m just glad they want to take the pictures, so I can just focus on watching!

The textured giraffe paper is from Hobby Lobby.  I cut the center out and left a 9 1/2" x 9 1/2" frame, then mounted it on SU Very Vanilla.  I found the safari paper on the web somewhere.  Not sure of the site because I’ve had it for a couple of years.  The rest of the paper/cardstock is SU, of course

I purchased the “Jungle Cruisin” die cut from Archivers, and just had to assemble it.  The die cut is from The Paper Wizard.  Die cuts are a couple of dollars cheaper on the creator's site than at Archivers.  There are so many, it's unbelievable!  Here is the site:  http://paperwizard.stores.yahoo.net/junglecruisin.html

Disney’s Animal Kingdom layout, Tree of Life - It's Tough to be a Bug

Last weekend was spent in Aurora, IL at a Scrap Cabana retreat.  Three days of scrapping, very little sleep, and a lot of laughs.  Bestie and me even managed to turn out some layouts we’re proud of! 
I created the “Tree of Life” from Pooh and Friends.  Took a little bit of time to “hide selected contour” on the door and window of the tree house, but it was worth it.  Monkeys are from New Arrival, and Mickey font was used for “Animal Kingdom”, and “eyes”.  On the right page, Flik and Atta were cut from Best of Pixar, as well as the leaves, one at 5” and one at 6”, and the word “bug”.  The nasty black bugs were cut from A Child's Year -- can you believe that?  (yuck).

Divine from Animal Kingdom

As soon as we pass through the Animal Kingdom gates, my husband and kids know I have to check in and ask what times Divine is going to be out that particular day.  I'm repeatedly fascinated by the grace and beauty of  "Divine".  We have dozens of pictures from every trip because I just cannot help myself!  Here is a layout from our January 2011 trip - a little out of the box, and a bit simple, but the pics of Divine are my focus!

I used Hello Kitty Font for the words, and the new Pack Your Bags for the photographer :)  All paper is Stampin' Up!.  The top layer of Divine is embossed with Cuttlebug "Divine Swirls", no pun intended!

As I mentioned above, it's a bit simple, so if you have any suggestions, please let me know.

WDW Animal Kingdom's Everest Expedition

These pages didn't photograph very well.  They really aren't as boring as they appear in the photos.  Has anyone created a Yeti?  Only thing I could come up with was to try to make Sully (Monsters Inc) look mean.  LOL  Work with me here, because my Yeti doesn't really look mean!
